Soldiers Grove Library News

Hello Everyone,

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday April 14th, at 7pm, local author Paul Zimmer will be reading from his new novel, The Mysteries of Soldiers Grove. Spoiler: if you’re looking for a mystery, this is more of a love story, with a thriller backround…and it’s not actually about Soldiers Grove, but the village and surrounding countryside where the Zimmers, Paul and his wife Suzanne have lived for several decades, are the inspiration and setting. All characters and events are fiction!

Last week ended with a delightful painting workshop with watercolor artist Anne Tedeschi. Young and old attendees, paintbrush in hand, created amazing seascapes using Anne’s techniques with the magic of watercolor. Thank you so much Anne!

And last week also brought Updating Library Spaces – A Learning Day, sponsored by the Wisconsin Library Services. Library directors and board members from around the state toured and were able to ask questions about our expansion project and the solar restoration. Many thanks go out to the team of inspiring people who worked so hard to make our project happen and came together once again to help explain how we did it!

Happy Spring! ~Cele
