Wonderful Weeds! Getting to know our backyard herbal friends

Join local naturalist, herbalist, and author Rachel Wolf, (Herbal Adventures: backyard excursions and kitchen creations for kids and their families) for an herbal adventure right here in the library!

Discover the wonderful weeds growing right in your own backyard. From dandelion to mullein; plantain to elderberry, we’ll discover that there’s much to love about the wild plants that grow in and around our neighborhoods. Touch, smell, and even taste a few wild edibles that are common here in the Driftless region. Then get your hands dirty making your own herbal “seed bombs” with native plant seeds. Back at home you can toss them into the corner of your garden, and see what helpful plants spring up next year! All ages are welcome.

See you at the Library and have a wonderful Holiday!

We have so much to be Thankful for…
