Here are some events coming up soon at your Library.

Story Time Tuesdays with Ms Cecilia, 10am
begins this week, 9/17, having fun with apples!

Guatemala Now! Peace Corps worker, Lily Engel will be available to chat about her recent experiences there. This is a ‘walk-in’ event, Thursday, Sept. 26, from 3-5pm at the library.
You are welcome to come & go as you wish.

Project Recovery Puppet Theater ~ Recovery is more than rebuilding
Friday, Sept. 27, 10am-noon

The puppet show will be followed by a paint splattering activity out in the parking lot at the Library. Project Recovery is a community-based program providing outreach, crisis counseling and support to communities impacted by severe storms, flooding and other natural disasters.

A Day of Writing in Ben Logan’s Driftless: Remembering the Land
Saturday, Sept. 28, 10am-3pm

Join instructor Catherine Young (MFA University of British Columbia) in this unique course in the Driftless Area. The course begins at the Soldiers Grove Public Library and will travel to the Log Cabin Village in Gays Mills, WI. Through writing prompts and exercises, aspiring as well as skilled writers will re-member land by creating a sense of place through writing. Open to writers of all levels. Please Note: This event has associated fees. It is a UW Continuing Education class and the library is serving as one of the locations for the course.
