It’s almost Autumn! We’ve had a lively Summer at the Library: the return of Dan Nedrelo & his Critters, Rocket Science with Russell Gilbert, Puppets showing off at Peterson Memorial Park, along with the everyday pleasure of using the beautiful new library space!
Coming up in Fall, a new season of Toddler Time begins October 7 at 10 am. Ms Cindy will be sending news of that. And we look forward to hosting Genevieve Davis, author of Secret Life, Secret Death, for an author talk on Wednesday, November 5 at 7 p.m. Davis’ book and movie of the same name, which tell the tragic life story of her father’s mom, are available for checkout as well as her second book, Fanni’s Viennese Kitchen: Austrian Recipes & Immigrant Stories, about her maternal grandmother who led a very different, quiet, life.
The Library’s Patio Paver memorial program is still in full swing. Due to the length of time required for engraving, the next installation has been rescheduled to Spring of 2015. But bricks are still available and any time is a good time to remember a loved one or for your business/organization to show support of the library with an attractive engraved brick, placed at the entrance patio. The cost per brick is $100. Call or email the library for information on reserving bricks (today!)
